Donate to the RSL

The RSL is a registered charity and receives no regular public funding. All donations, however small are gratefully received.

As an extra thank you to anyone able to donate £3 or more from today, we’ll send an RSL 200 badge from our limited-edition run, featuring illustrations of writers past and present celebrating the RSL’s 200th birthday, including: Chinua Achebe, Margaret Atwood, Samuel Beckett, Malorie Blackman, Lord Byron, Charles Dickens, George Eliot, Bernardine Evaristo, E.M. Forster, Andrea Levy, Jean Rhys, J.R.R. Tolkien, George Bernard Shaw, Virginia Woolf and W. B. Yeats.

If you can give £10 or more, you can choose five badges and for gifts over £20, we will send a full set of 15! Please list which badges you would like in the box at the bottom of this page. If you are a UK Tax payer, then we are able to claim an additional 25% of your donation from HMRC with a Gift Aid declaration. For non-UK residents, please add £3.50 to your donation to cover our postage costs.

Donation 2020
The RSL is a charity, and with Gift Aid you can support us even further. If you are a UK taxpayer, for every £1 you give, we can claim 25p in addition from HM Revenue and Customs at no extra cost to you. All we need is your consent, which you can give by selecting ‘Yes’ below.

I would like the Royal Society of Literature to Gift Aid this donation and any donations I make in the future or have made in the last 4 years. I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I will inform The Royal Society of Literature if I wish to amend or cancel this claim, or if I change my name or address.
