Baroness Helena Kennedy QC was elected as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2018.

Baroness Helena Kennedy QC has long been one of our great barristers, creating new law for women in the process. During her tenure as Principal of Mansfield College, Oxford, she raised money for a new Human Rights Centre as well as hosting a regular stream of writers and human rights champions for public talks. She is Chair of the Booker Prize Foundation, and oversees the work of the Man Booker Prizes. She was also Chair of the British Council, and a prominent innovator during her tenure.
