David Runciman
David Runciman was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2021.
David Runciman is Professor of Politics at Cambridge University and a Fellow of the British Academy. His books include The Confidence Trap (2013), How Democracy Ends (2018) and Where Power Stops (2019). He writes regularly about politics for the London Review of Books, where he is also Contributing Editor. He is the founder and host of the weekly podcast Talking Politics, along with the series ‘History of Ideas’. The book of that series Confronting Leviathan will be published by Profile in 2021.
