Ian McMillan was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2022.
Ian McMillan was born in 1956 and he’s been a freelance writer, performer and broadcaster since 1982. He presents The Verb on Radio 3 and his latest book is My Sand Life, My Pebble Life, a collection of memories of the sea. He’s currently plugging away at translating The Barber of Seville into Yorkshire dialect.
