Roger Robinson was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2020.
Roger Robinson is a writer who has performed worldwide, and an experienced workshop leader. His poetry collection, A Portable Paradise, won the 2019 T.S. Eliot Prize and the 2020 RSL Ondaatje Prize, was shortlisted for the inaugural Derek Walcott Prize, and was chosen as a New Statesman book of the year. His work has been shortlisted for the OCM Bocas Poetry Prize and the Oxford Brookes Poetry Prize, and highly commended by the Forward Prizes. He was chosen by Decibel as one of 50 writers who have influenced the black-British canon and has toured extensively with the British Council.
