Leo Boix is a bilingual Latinx poet from Argentina based in London. His second collection Southernmost: Sonnets (Chatto & Windus, 2025) was shortlisted for the Forward Prizes and named Book of the Year by major UK newspapers. His debut Ballad of a Happy Immigrant (2021) was a Poetry Book Society Wild Card Choice. He edited and translated Hemisferio Cuir (Fourteen Publishing, 2025), co-directs Un Nuevo Sol, and his work appears widely. He has received multiple prizes, major commissions, and international recognition overall.
Fellows are nominated by peers and elected by our Council of writers – our governing Board. Being elected a Fellow of the RSL is a lifetime honour. This role gives them the opportunity to support other writers, readers and the future of literature. The RSL connects writers in the Fellowship to one another, and to a wider readership.
