Elected: 2024
Linda has published 10 collections of poetry since 1990. Her latest include Laurel Prize winner The Knucklebone Floor and Startling. Linda was named inaugural Environmental Poet of the Year 2022-23 in the Michael Marks Awards. She won the Poetry Society’s National Poetry Competition in 2013 and has received a Society of Authors’ Cholmondeley Award. A History of Abandonment was longlisted for the 2023 Nan Shepherd Prize.
Fellows are nominated by peers and elected by our Council of writers – our governing Board. Being elected a Fellow of the RSL is a lifetime honour. This role gives them the opportunity to support other writers, readers and the future of literature. The RSL connects writers in the Fellowship to one another, and to a wider readership.
