Katie Hickman is the author of ten books, which between them have sold over quarter of a million copies world-wide, and been translated into twenty languages. Her most recent work, Brave Hearted: The Dramatic Story of Women of the American West, won the 2023 US Willa Award for Creative Non-Fiction. Other works of history include Daughters of Britannia, five months in the Sunday Times best-seller lists, about the lives and times of British Diplomatic wives, which she later adapted into a twenty part BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour series. Her novels include the best-selling Aviary Gate trilogy, while her first novel, The Quetzal Summer (1987) was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Young British Writer of the Year Award.
