Peter Frankopan

Peter Frankopan is Professor of Global History at the University of Oxford, where he has been Senior Research Fellow of Worcester College since 2000. He works on the history of the Byzantine Empire, the Middle East, Russia, Central and South Asia and China. His books include The Silk Roads: A New History of the World, The New Silk Roads: The Present and Future of the World, The First Crusade: the Call from the East, and a translation of The Alexiad of Anna Komnene.
