President

The President is a figurehead for the organisation. They are elected from the Fellowship and serve a term of four years. Their role is symbolic, and they act as an Ambassador for the Society and its overall mission – the advancement of literature – but do not serve as a trustee of the Council.

The current President is Elif Shafak.
