Mimi Khalvati and Fiona Sampson read selections and discuss their poetry, chaired by Clare Lees.

Poetry at King’s

Mimi Khalvati has published six collections, including Selected Poems and The Chine, The Meanest Flower (2007) was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, a Financial Times Book of the Year and was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize. In 2006, she received a Cholmondeley Award from the Society of Authors. Her New & Selected Poems will be published in 2011. Fiona Sampson’s seventeen books include Rough Music, shortlisted for the 2010 T.S. Eliot Prize. Awarded the Newdigate Prize, she has been shortlisted for the Forward Best Single Poem prize, and recieved a Cholmondeley Award. Her Newcastle/Bloodaxe Poetry Lectures, and Faber Poet-to-Poet Shelley will appear in 2011.
