Covid Poem

So many deaths and new infections. The crisis continues and is worsening, but our government responses are still too little too late. They don't seem to care.

You don’t care for us, you only care for you
You don’t look out for us, you only look out for your mates
We’re stuck in and dying, you’re getting richer and growing older…….but not wiser.

You knew it was coming but you didn’t prepare
You ran down the NHS and social care
You left the EU and the nurses went too…..and now the ambulances are queuing.

You say the vaccines are coming but can we believe you?
So many broken promises since Covid’s coming
New varients are spreading ……..when is the our recovery coming?
