Poets’ Corner

The dust of stars
from the crevice of time
dropped lonely
and lipped
the night sky
quietly.

The wanderer,
gathering up broken words,
shuttled between
history and
tinned fish.

The door

opened and looked
at our souls,
a voice
that reads
and will be
read.

Each fair verse
makes life sweet
and death
sweeter.
