Self Isolation

During the pandemic it was great to see people doing great things to support the NHS such as Captain Tom Moore. But against these wonderful acts of community and helping each other I was shocked and saddened when shopping to see people fighting over a bag of pasta or abusing shop workers. Instead of being angry I have tried to use a bit of humour in my poem.

Self-isolation

Is not

Splendid isolation.

I’m not bothered

By this toilet roll

Panic buying situation.

Stress and anxiety

Has given me

Constipation
