Zoom Recital

A poetry recital over zoom, as a nervous reader.

Silent claps with eerie
Clasps around the handful of
Courage my thoughts could muster,
Signal my lips to sway on some words
Of melody.

I look at you and try to dream
A single person might know my words
Better than I can mask them. Instead, I am
Met with the static onslaught
Of breaking matrix voices. That I
Imagine myself the One, only
To be met by the Many, and
None of us can tell what to do.

Call Ended.
