Join cultural historian and literary critic Alexandra Harris for a tour of selected paintings and photographs at the National Portrait Gallery of and by Virginia Woolf, Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and others associated with the Bloomsbury Group and the modernist movement. Following this short tour, Alexandra scrutinises Mrs Dalloway in more depth. This event is part of wider Dalloway Day celebrations. 

Alexandra Harris is Professor of English at the University of Birmingham. She has written books about Virginia Woolf, Modernism and the weather. In 2015 she presented A Walk of One’s Own: Viriginia Woolf on Foot on BBC Radio 4.

Ticket holders should meet in the Main Hall.
